Novato Theater Strengthens its Board
The Novato Theater is most pleased to announce the latest addition to its board, Todd Stevenot. Board president Keith Greggor stated, “We continue to strengthen our board to meet our future needs. Todd’s background in finance and non-profits will add depth and capability to our efforts. Also, because his family is fourth generation Novato, we will benefit from his great understanding and appreciation of our community.”
Armed with a BA in accounting from Golden Gate University and an MBA from University of San Francisco, Todd has spent twenty-five years developing his career in finance. Most recently as chief financial officer of a startup C-Suite consulting firm, CamberView Partners. Previously he was a managing director at Blackrock. His diversity of experience in a variety of companies from startup to large scale will be extremely valuable to Novato Theater as we transition from construction to a fully operational theater.
Also of great value is Todd’s extensive community experience. He currently serves on the board of and volunteers for San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind, as well as Power to Soar, an organization supporting local foster youth in higher education. Previously Todd served on the Novato Charter School board and foundation, and continues to support Novato schools today.
Todd has a personal mission to fulfill arising from his family’s long history in Novato and belief in the value of a downtown theater. His father-in-law goes back to the original theater where as a young man he swept up popcorn between movies.
Before committing to joining the Novato Theater board, Todd reviewed its financials, business plan and current efforts to convince the Novato City Council to support our “no cost” plan to complete construction and open the theater. Keith Greggor added, “We need to bring in functional expertise and a commitment to devote time and effort to achieve our goals. We want people to come in with their eyes open, believe in what we are doing and get to work. We are very excited for Todd to join us.”
